Broncos Looks for Seventh-Straight Win, Travel to Humboldt and Chico State

Pomona – The Cal Poly Pomona Women’s basketball team looks to extend their six-game win streak as they face Humboldt State and Chico State in California Collegiate Athletic Association play. Thursday, Jan. 11 – 5:30 p.m.Cal Poly Pomona at Humboldt StateLive VideoLive Stats Saturday, Jan. 13 – 5:30 p.m.Cal Poly Pomona at Chico StateLive VideoLive Stats Twitter Last Week: The Broncos (10-4, 7-2 CCAA) won both of their games last week, dominating San Francisco State 76-57 before completing the comeback to down Sonoma State 79-76 in overtime. Priscilla Brooks led the team with 18 points and nine rebounds against the Gators. Casey McWilliam went off for 22 points against the Seawolves including going 5-for-7 from three-point. By the Numbers: The Broncos are the number one scoring defense in the CCAA, holding opposing offenses to 57.9 points a game. As a team, they are shooting 38 percent from the floor which ranks in the top half of the league. Brooks leads the team in scoring, averaging 11.3 points a game and in boards, averaging 8.4 a game which ranks her eight in the conference. The Broncos look to avenge a loss to the Jacks at home earlier in the season. Against the Wildcats, CPP looks for the season sweep after earning a 66-50 at Kellogg Arena. Jack Report: Humboldt (8-7, 7-3 CCAA) comes in on a two-game skid and looks to bounce back against the Broncos. The Jacks average 75.7 points per game on 38 percent shooting. The Jacks take care of the ball, averaging the least amount of turnovers in the CCAA. Tyla Turner controls the offense for the Jacks scoring 18 points per game which ranks her third in the CCAA.
