By Mike McKissackThe Continuing Education program at College of DuPage will offer a Summer Speech Camp
for high school students from 1 to 5:30 p.m. on Mondays to Thursdays, July 9 to 19,
on the College’s Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.During the camp, participants will gain a strong foundation in three elements of competitive
speaking: public speaking, oral interpretation and limited preparation events. Open
to both novice and varsity competitors, the camp will help students learn event fundamentals,
develop written and oral communication skills, and provide the opportunity for team
building. The program will culminate in a performance showcase where students can

potential through programs geared toward preschool, elementary and middle school and
high school students. Offerings include fun and challenging day camps, educational
