CWRU Women’s Basketball to Host #24 Baldwin Wallace Saturday; Travel to Kenyon on Monday

The Case Western Reserve University women’s basketball team will play its final two games before the start of Winter Break, hosting 24th-ranked Baldwin Wallace University on Saturday, December 8th at 2:00 p.m., before traveling to Gambier, Ohio to face Kenyon College on Monday, December 10th at 7:00 p.m.LIVE COVERAGE vs. Baldwin Wallace (Saturday at 2:00 PM) Video: https://athletics.case.edu/sports/wbkb/live Live Stats: https://athletics.case.edu/sports/wbkb/2018-19/boxscores/20181208_86z1.xmlat Kenyon (Monday at 7:00 PM) Video: https://portal.stretchinternet.com/kenyon/ Live Stats: https://portal.stretchinternet.com/kenyon/CWRU SPARTANSCase Western Reserve has opened the season with a 4-1 overall record, and will be wrapping up a three-game home stand on Saturday, after suffering its first setback of the season, a 71-57 loss to Ohio Northern last Wednesday.  The Spartans have gone 1-1 at home and 3-0 in games away from Horsburgh Gymnasium this season.  The team has averaged 74.0 points per game on 40.8% shooting overall and 31.5% shooting from three-point range, while allowing 69.8 points per game.  Senior guard/forward Hillary Hellmann leads the team with 19.6 points per game and 47.1% shooting from three-point range, while adding 7.6 rebounds per game.  Graduate student forward Kara Hageman has added 17.4 points per game and has paced the squad with 9.6 rebounds and seven blocks, while freshman guard Alyssa Hyland has chipped in 9.8 points per contest this season.The Spartans are under the leadership of Head Coach Jennifer Reimer, who is now in her 127-151 during her 12 seasons with the team and 284-252 overall during her 22-year career.  She is assisted by Kelly Muffley, Erin Gdaniec, Alexis Amburgey, Darby Kreienberg and Megan Shanosky.BALDWIN WALLACE YELLOW JACKETSBaldwin Wallace won six-straight games to open its 2018-19 campaign, climbing to 24th in the D3hoops.com Top-25 and receiving votes in the latest WBCA poll.  The Yellow Jackets are 4-0 away from home this …
