Death of Missouri S&T student reported

Missouri University of Science and Technology student Ryan Lewis, 19, of DeSoto, Missouri, died Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, as a result of injuries sustained from a fall at Thomas Jefferson Hall. He was a freshman in computer engineering.
Missouri S&T University Police responded to a call of a medical emergency at TJ Hall at about 12:05 p.m. Monday. According to University Police, Lewis was on the ground outside of the residence hall and was without a pulse. An officer performed CPR on Lewis, who was transported to Phelps County Regional Medical Center and later to University Hospital in Columbia, where he was pronounced dead Monday night.
