The public is invited to learn more about these evolving issues – and have fun doing it – during a forum this week at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
The Saluki Energy Forum is set for 10 a.m. to noon Friday in the rotunda at Morris Library. The event is free and open to all interested parties.

Organizers say the event is aimed at engaging people in the energy issues of the day in an entertaining, hands-on way. Those who attend will learn how they can use energy more efficiently, save money and reduce the environmental impacts of its production.
Campus experts, including those from the Sustainability Office, the Advanced Coal and Energy Research Center, Plant and Service Operations and the Center for Environmental Health and Safety, will join members of student organizations for the event. They will discuss topics such as campus energy use, scholarships and internship opportunities for those interested in energy studies, energy-related projects on campus, conservation and how individuals can have an impact.
