Case Western Reserve University senior Danielle Kulpins will travel to La Crosse, Wisconsin for the 2018 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, where she will be aiming for an All-America finish in the women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase.Fans can follow Kulpins at the meet with live video at https://www.ncaa.com/liveschedule and live results at http://www.deltatiming.com/results.aspx.Kulpins earned entry to the meet by recording the fourth-fastest 3,000-meter steeplechase time in Division III this season, notching a school record mark of 10:40.17 at the All-Ohio Championships in April. She will be making her first-ever appearance at the NCAA Championships, and is looking to become the first Spartan in the history of the women’s track and field program to claim All-America honors in the steeplechase.Kulpins is scheduled to compete in the first of two preliminary heats in the event at 6:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, May 24th. The top-five finishers in each heat, along with the runners with the next four fastest times, will advance to the finals of the event on Saturday, May 26th at 12:45 p.m. ET. The top-eight finishers in Saturday’s final will earn All-America honors.Kulpins is the first CWRU woman to qualify for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships since 2012, when both Erin Hollinger (high jump and heptathlon) and Amanda Kline (discus throw) were selected to the field for the national meet.The NCAA Championships are being hosted by the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse at Roger Harring Stadium at the Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex.
