Men’s Tennis: Senior Day Sweep

Rohnert Park, Calif. – Sonoma State swept UC Santa Cruz 7-0 on senior day. The Seawolves head to Surprise Arizona this week for the PacWest conference tournament. Doubles: Alec Wong and Igor Pissarenko put the first victory in the book with a 6-2 win at the No. 2 slot. Shortly after that, the No. 1 tandem of Nate Oppenheim and Max Nudell won by a 6-2 count to secure the doubles point. Santiago Sarudiansky and Josh Liu completed the Seawolves double sweep with a 6-3 victory at the No. 3 spot. Singles: With a solid start claiming the doubles point, the Seawolves moved around their line-up as secured all six singles matches. Josh Liu was the first Seawolf to win his singles match, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 5. Another impressive Sonoma State win came from Alec Wong as he won his match 6-1, 6-0. The team match was clinched as Igor Pissarenko walked off the courts with a 6-2, 6-4 win in the No. 4 spot. Max Nudell put together a solid 6-0, 6-4 victory at the No. 3 slot, while Santiago Sarudiansky claimed a 6-2, 6-3win at No. 2. Nate Oppenheim rounded out the Seawolves sweep with a 7-5, 4-6, 10-8 win in the No. 1 slot.DOUBLES COMPETITION (2, 1, 3)
