The William & Mary men’s track & field team set another school record for the second week in a row and had a number of athletes set personal-bests on Friday at the VMI Winter Relays, leading W&M to a fourth-place standing in the 10-team field.  The Tribe scored 23.5 points from just five athletes for fourth place, behind Duquesne (53 points), Norfolk State (34.5), and UNCW (25 points).Leading the way with his second school record in as many weeks was redshirt-junior Dylan Anderson (Madison, N.J.), who qualified for Saturday’s 60m hurdles finals.  After conserving energy with an easy 8.46 in the prelims, Anderson turned on the jets in the semifinals to run 8.23 seconds for sixth overall.  That shaved 0.02 off the school record he set last week at Liberty, and re-qualified Anderson for the IC4A Championships. Also of note:
– In the weight throw, redshirt-junior Preston Richardson (Franktown, Va.) qualified for the IC4A Championships with a season-best throw of 17.26m (56-7.6), placing second overall.  Richardson is now qualified in both throwing events (shot put and weight throw) for the second year in a row.  Also in the weight, freshman KJ Cook (Buena Vista, Calif.) placed fifth overall at 15.84m (51-11.75).- In the triple jump, senior Jared Sinsheimer (Federal Way, Wash.) not only leapt a personal-best, but also had W&M’s best performance since 2003.  Sinsheimer hit the sand at 14.12m (46-4) for third overall, and improved his previous best by nearly half a meter (45cm, nearly 18 inches).  That ranks him 13th all-time at W&M indoors.- In the 500m dash, sophomore Raul Chavez-Gutierrez (Marshall, Va.) improved his best by 1.6 seconds, running 1:07.49 for ninth overall. The VMI Winter Relays continue Saturday, with action starting at 10 a.m.VMI Winter Relays
