The Department of World Languages and Cultures is now offering free drop-in Spanish and French tutoring in the newly renovated Language Resource Center located in A&S 273. The new space serves as an extension of the classroom with the goal of enhancing the language-learning process through exposure to a myriad of enrichment activities and resources.The Language Resource Center is open Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. except during holidays and contains a large variety of language-learning resources accessible free of charge for all GC faculty, staff and students. Please see the attached schedule for specific course tutoring times.
Renovations to the Language Resource Center included a new collaborative tutoring area with whiteboard tables, two film-viewing areas with access to over 300 films in Arabic, French, German, Italian, Russian and Spanish, and fully-equipped computer stations where students can access lab and homework assignments while working at their own pace.
Students will find a relaxed environment with dedicated tutors sharing their passion for languages by giving one-on-one and group assistance to students needing help with grammar, pronunciation, speaking and writing. Tutoring is provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Whether you are enrolled in a language course or not, the Language Resource Center is your best resource for practicing or learning a language.
