These are among the activities scheduled Aug. 13-19 at the University of Wyoming:
Tuesday, Aug. 14, 7 p.m. — UW Planetarium full-dome movie, “From Earth to the Universe.” Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in the Physical Sciences Building, Room 204, or by going online at www.uwyo.edu/physics/ and clicking on “Planetarium Schedule.”
Wednesday, Aug. 15, 5:30 p.m. — Jean Garrison, UW’s Center for Global Studies director, will give the final “What in the World?” summer program presentation at the Albany County Public Library Centennial branch. She will discuss “Chinese-American Relations in the Trump Era: Cooperation, Confrontation or Crisis?” Free.
Friday, Aug. 17, 8 p.m. — UW Planetarium show, “The Art of Space.” The STAR Observatory on the rooftop of the Physical Sciences Building will be open from 8-10 p.m. Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in the Physical Sciences Building, Room 204, or by going online at www.uwyo.edu/physics/ and clicking on “Planetarium Schedule.”
Saturday, Aug. 18, 10 a.m. — “Transforming Spaces: An Installation by Sharon Louden” will open in the UW Art Museum lobby. Free.
Dinosaur skeletons, ancient mammal fossils and other exhibits are on display in the UW Geological Museum. The museum is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.
The UW Department of Botany’s Williams Conservatory is open to the public Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.
