Vance, Monoszlay Set New Provisionals At UCSD

OFFICIAL RESULTSLA JOLLA, Calif. — Nia Vance scored a NCAA provisional-qualifying mark with a PR of 11.93 meters in the Triple Jump and Casey Monoszlay notched her third provisional mark of the 2019 campaign with a PR time of 2:10.48 in the 800 Meter Run, setting the tone for a successful Triton Invitational, hosted by UC San Diego in La Jolla Friday and Saturday.All told, 10 personal records were set by the Broncos this weekend.Not only were the provisional marks set by Vance and Monoszlay a personal highlight for them, but they also moved into the school’s all-time Top 10 record book.  Vance’s Triple Jump was No. 3 in school history and Monoszlay’s 800 time is No. 4.  Monoszlay now has three provisional marks to her name this spring in the 800, 1500 and 5000.Ana Tovi in the Discus and the 4×100 Relay team of Zaria Francis, Ryanne Napoleon, Vance and Ayana Fields also improved upon the provisional marks they already set in their respective events this spring.  Tovi launched a throw of 47.98, which is good for third in the CCAA and 15th in Division II this spring.  The throw was also the second-best in school history.  The 4×100 Relay squad ran a school-record 46.58 on Saturday, which is also No. 3 in the conference, moving up to 16th in the nation.Also setting personal records this weekend were Anela Miki-Han in the Discus (39.94m), Sophia Le in the Long Jump (4.74m), Charisma Byrd in the High Jump (1.62m), Keiana Hamm in the Triple Jump (10.33m), Ryanne Napoleon in the 100 Meter (12.27) and 200 Meter (25.77), and Sarah Reyna in the 200 (26.88).As a team, CPP now has NCAA provisional marks in seven events — 400 Meters (Ayana Fields), 800 Meters (Monoszlay), 1500 Meters (Monoszlay), 5000 Meters (Monoszlay), 4×100 Relay, Triple Jump (Vance) and Discus (Tovi).Cal Poly Pomona will now turn its focus on the Bryan Clay Invitational, hosted by …
