Wolfpack 10-2 After Day Two of Rebel Invitational

LAS VEGAS – After two days of competition, the NC State women’s tennis team will head into the final day of the Rebel Invitational with a notable 10-2 record. Both doubles tandems beat their respective opponents to earn a place in the finals on Sunday. Martina Frantova and Anna Rogers moved into the main draw championship while Amanda Rebol and Bianca Moldovan will compete in the consolation final. Three of four Wolfpackers, Frantova, Rogers and Rebol, moved into the main draw championships in singles play, and Moldovan fell to Domenica Gonzales in the semifinals, 6-4, 6-4, to conclude action. Saturday Results:

Bianca Moldovan/Amanda Rebol def. Mary Wright/Ellie Zogg (SMU), 8-3

Both NC State doubles pairs moved into the finals in their respective flights. Frantova/Rebol will take on Carol Yang and Aiwen Zhu of UNLV for the main draw title while Moldovan/Rebol will play Deborah Suarez and Alex Sabe from Purdue in the consolation final. Three head to championship matches in singles play. No. 29 Frantova is set to play Lauren Marker (Arizona), Anna Rogers will play Aiwen Zhu (UNLV), and Amanda Rebol will take on Macie Elliott (SMU).Sunday Match Times:
