– The William & Mary women’s basketball team looks to get back into the win column as it welcomes Drexel to Kaplan Arena in a rescheduled game on Tuesday, Jan. 9. Tipoff between the Tribe and the Dragons is set for 6 p.m. – Senior Abby Rendle was named the CAA Player of the Week for the third time this season, which is tied for the most player of the weeks in the league, for the week of Jan. 1. Previously, Rendle was named the league’s player of the week for the weeks of Nov. 27 and Dec. 18. Rendle and freshman Nyla Pollard, who has been named Rookie of the Week twice, have combined for all five of the Tribe’s weekly awards.
– The Tribe has shot, at least, 45-percent in eight of its 14 games, including accomplishing the feat in six of the last nine games. Furthermore, W&M has shot 50-percent, or better, in three games. For the season, the Green and Gold leads the CAA and ranks 27th in the country at 46.2-percent.
– W&M has scored 70, or more points, in 10 of its 14 games this season and is averaging 74.1 points per game. The Tribe has only averaged more than 70 points in a season twice in program history, and the 74.1 would be a school record if the season ended today. W&M’s scoring offense is second in the CAA and 57th in the country.
– After losing its top two scorers from last season, W&M has put, at least, three players in double-figures in all 14 games this season. Senior Abby Rendle and junior Bianca Boggs lead the team with 12 double-figure games this season.
