ARCATA, Calif. – The Humboldt State women’s soccer program announced it spring schedule Monday. The schedule includes several home dates, a pair of games against Division I opponents, and the team’s annual alumni game.”Heading into this spring we knew we wanted a strong challenge as well as a number of home games, this schedule provides both for us,” said HSU Head Coach Paul Karver. “The opportunity to play against two very good Division I programs on the road will certainly present a fantastic test for our girls.”The spring slate begins with a special doubleheader in Redwood Bowl on Saturday, March 24. The Lumberjacks will play College of the Redwoods at 8:30 p.m. under the lights, and the game will be preceded by a match against the HSU faculty starting at 6:30 p.m.HSU will travel to Moraga to take on a pair of Division I opponents on Saturday, April 7. The Green and Gold will face Sacramento State at 12:30 p.m. followed by host St. Mary’s College at 3 p.m.Following the team’s trip to the Bay Area, the Jacks will return home for four dates at College Creek Field. HSU will host Santa Rosa JC Saturday, April 14 at 11 a.m. and Tahoe JC the next day at the same time. Southern Oregon travels to the North Coast on Saturday, April 22 to take on the home team at 1 p.m. followed by a game between the Raiders and College of the Redwoods at 3 p.m.HSU closes the spring season with its annual alumni game on Saturday, April 28. The match kicks off at 11 a.m.
