WSA election week update

Western Herald – news

Election week for the WSA president and vice presidential candidates reached the midway point on Wednesday, March 22.

Despite not being the most competitive election in WSA history, with only one campaign team running this year, Chiante Lymon and Logan Brown are already preparing to step in the leadership position.

As Lymon and Brown wait for the results to be made official, they have already been introduced at the previous Faculty Senate meeting as the future WSA president and Vice President.

The President and Vice President are the only positions on the election ballot this week and If you plan on voting either online or one of the voting locations on campus, there is still an option for a write in candidate.

Elections for the Speaker of the Senate and Speaker Pro Tempore will be held the following week, official candidates on the ballot are currently unknown.

As for chair positions, like Public Relations, Malcolm McCants, current Public Relations chair is offering advice for those who are interested in the position, those positions will be voted on by the future president and vice president during the current academic year.
